La Finca Las Lajas is located on the fertile slopes of the Poás Volcano in Sabanilla of Alajuela, Costa Rica. To maintain and improve the highly fertile soils of their area, the owners, Francisca and Oscar Chacón, use farming practices, such as growing various trees within their coffee bean plants, to provide shade, strengthen the soil’s ability to resist erosion as well as the soil’s ability to absorb water and carbon dioxide. This all works to protect their land’s future for coffee bean cultivation in the face of changing temperatures and rain patterns. In addition to their careful growing practices, this farm’s careful selection and drying methods of coffee beans ensures a complex, high quality end product for every cup of coffee consumed.
This single origin Nicaraguan coffee is roasted to keep you going all day. We named this after our daughter and dedicate this roast to all the Moms out there working tirelessly. Thank you and enjoy.

High in the steep mountains of San Pablo de Leon Cortes, Microbeneficio La Chumeca is shaped by four generations of coffee heritage and a constant spirit of experimentation. Established in 2014 by Martin Urena Quiros and his sons, the family translated a lifelong relationship with coffee into a focused pursuit of quality and traceability, guided by close attention to soil health and the cultivation of a regenerative ecosystem. Working at elevations between 1400 and 2000 meters, they combine fermentation techniques with traditional drying on raised beds, allowing flavor to develop with clarity and precision. Rooted among native species and a living shade canopy, La Chumeca continues to evolve it farming practices with each harvest, earning regenerative certification for the third consecutive year and demonstrating how generations of knowledge shape the future of coffee.
