Thailand is not traditionally known as a coffee producing country, yet produces as much arabica coffee as Panama, Hawaii and Jamaica combined. With the ideal altitude, microclimate and soil, condition for growing arabica coffee, the Doi Pangkhon region is on par with growing regions in Central America.
The young farmers of Doi Pangkhon come from several indigenous hill tribes and often posses a bachelor's degree. They embrace experimentation and commit to continuously improving the quality of their product.
Coffee from Thailand is a first for Tunnel City Coffee. With its lemon peanut brittle flavor and mild sweetness, it has quickly become a favorite.
