Who we are

Tunnel City Coffee is a coffee roasting company in Western Massachusetts that was founded by Paul Lovegreen in 1992. It's one of the few coffee companies in the Berkshires that roast specialty sustainable green coffee. At the end of Spring Street surrounded by the Williams College campus, we’re known for our top quality espresso drinks, fresh, homemade pastries and exceptional service.

Before Tunnel City Coffee became what it is today, it was known as Cold Spring Coffee Roasters — from 1992 to 2004 located at 47 Spring Street.  In 2004, it was relocated to 100 Spring Street and renamed Tunnel City Coffee.

Over the past 25 years the company has grown in sales, and expanded its locations. With the addition of a café on the Mass MoCA campus in the edgy, artistic town of nearby North Adams, services will also be available at the new Spring Street bookstore in Williamstown by fall 2017.
